acute and chronic hypercoagulable state
. It is produced by the breakdown
of Fibrinogen. It increases blood viscosity (slowing
the speed of blood, and thus the delivery of oxygen)
SFM level could be the most useful marker for the diagnosis of both DIC
and pre-DIC
